Tayloe McKenna, Co-Convener
Tayloe McKenna joined CWGC in 2020 and quickly became involved with the Grants Committee. She co-chaired the committee in 2021 and 2022, and is excited to move into her new role as Co-Convener with Jill Kramer. Originally from Middleburg, VA, Tayloe has lived in the Baltimore area for ten years. She received her undergraduate degree in Archaeology from Bryn Mawr College and her master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from The University of Baltimore. She currently works as a grants manager at Maryland Public Television. Tayloe and her husband John have two children, ages 8 and 10, and two cats. Tayloe is an avid reader, an active volunteer at her children’s school, and enjoys exploring Baltimore with her family.
Rebekah Kaufman, Co-Convener
Rebekah Kaufman is thrilled to be second in command this year after being in awe of co- conveners since she joined the group in 2013. She has lived in C’ville for 34 years and is enjoying making the transition from young punk parent to neighborhood grandma.
She has co-led the education committee and arranged a number or fascinating community events, as well as being co-treasurer, a job that she will continue to do.
She is a retired school librarian and loved walking to work at her final position in Catonsville Elementary School. Running into her former students and parents is a great joy, just give her a moment to remember who you are!
Retirement gives her lots of time to volunteer at Great Kids Farm, The Maryland Center for Special Equestrians, and Civic Works.
Come by her house and browse through the little free library in the front yard, and chat about books and gardening.
She relishes her grown babies and her most perfect grandbabies, just ask her!
